Western style wedding gowns
A lot of places offer western style wedding gowns for veiled women. I dug into the Hijab Magazine 2007 Catalog, and found some less flattering dresses there. I mean, I’m really into egyptian fashion, but some of the clothes just can’t make it to my wish list.. Like my mexican friend said to me when shopping in the City Stars mall; “they are into something, but they just can’t get there”… Here are the best wedding gowns from the 2007 edition:
I think I’d rather trust turkish designers on this one… I don’t know why but somehow they manage to make the dresses way more elegant, with way less sequined stuff. I want one like those underneath from Bala Couture! Now that’s flawless glam for the most important day of them all
Hijab n saree
Many pakistani/indian muslims wearing hijab with their traditional clothing puzzle me. Most of the time I see them wear either convertable hijab, or a really tight tied, unflattering black hijab. But sometimes, this conservative black hijab is paired with short sleeves, don’t ask me why. Therefore I was happy to find this picture of two beautiful sisters sporting their hijabs in a elegant way!
*Update: I know this post offended some of you. I am sincerely sorry, as the idea of this post was not to generalize or point out that people have bad hijab or something. I just love the indian/pakistani traditional wear with all it’s colors and elegance, and was happy to find a picture where the girls matched the hijab to the outfit
Famous Hijab
Sometimes sisters are hesistant of putting on the hijab because they think they will look ugly/silly. That’s simply not right. The hijab can actually make you look cuter (not in a “bad” way, though)! Here are six famous hijabis that prove the fact!

Those girls look adorable in hijab, what do you think?
Egyption Streets hijab
It’s no secret that I love egyptian-style fashion. That’s my fashion, thats my style. Egyptian style is without a doubt the most creative hijab style out there, with a lot of colors, mix of textures and so on. Here is a tribute to the egyptian street style of Cairo:
And here is a little something for the fans of spanish hijab:
Lovely, or what?
East Hijab Style
I got a comment from sweet reader D-eby, where she asked me for more Indonesian fashion. To be honest, I love the style, but I didn’t find enough sources yet to write a whole post about that. On the other hand, I gathered some pictures of sisters from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. They really got style; here is the fab far East hijab:
So ladies, what do y’all think about the styles of our beautiful sisters in the East?
Bunch of Hijab styles

Again, I can’t resist posting some new, colorful hijab styles. Yes, the makeup can be excessive, yes, the styles can sometimes be a little over the top. But it’s a joy to look at all those styles, and get ideas for yourself. Some of these styles are created by famous hijab stylists like Marwa Hamed and Jailan Atef, while others I don’t know..
I heart the leopard one! Which one is your fave?
Colorfull weddiing hijab style
I know I’ve posted a lot of wedding styles, but not eveybody want to be a white bride…. I found these beauiful styles for those of you that like a little more color to it
Now green is one of my top favorite colors, so I just had to love the green one. But all these dresses/hijabs are gorgeous. Do you like this style? Which one is your favorite?
